The supply of the H1N1 vaccine in Wisconsin has been steadily increasing within the past two weeks; however, there is not enough to support a large-scale mass vaccination effort. It will be available to adults with underlying health conditions as well as those who are more prone to influenza-related complications. The University of Wisconsin-Stout will be offering a free H1N1 vaccine clinic on Nov. 18 and 19. The focused target groups will be people who are 18 years old with an underlying medical condition, persons who live with or provide care for infants six months and younger and pregnant women. To make an appointment, contact the UW-Stout Student Health Services at 715-232-1314.
The Red Cedar Medical Center will be offering its H1N1 clinic on Nov. 23 and 24. Its target groups for the vaccination are children between the ages of six months and four years old, people who are ages five to 64 with chronic medical conditions and pregnant women.
