The Production Manager must have comprehensive knowledge and work under the principles of graphic composition techniques. The ideal candidate for this job should have intricate knowledge of Adobe InDesign and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. In addition to this knowledge, an ideal candidate must have the communication skills to work between section editors, the Photography Editor, copy editors, the Editor-in-Chief, as well as his/her own layout staff.
Salary: $90/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The Business Manager position requires a great deal of responsibility and thorough knowledge of all business functions of the paper. He or she is responsible for all payroll and ordering functions.
Salary: $75/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The Advertising Manager directs and controls the flow of advertisers into the paper. This is a highly respected and responsible position, as most of Stoutonia?s income comes directly from ad sales.
Salary: $75/week plus commission

The Digital Imaging/Online Editor must adapt the electronic files created each issue to make the print version of the newspaper into an online product using College Publisher Web based tools. Knowledge of image and file formats is important.
The Digital Imaging Editor must have intricate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. This person must be a self-motivated leader and be able to not only hand out story assignments to his/her photographers, but also be able to reason and discuss photo ideas with each of the section editors.
Salary: $75/week

The Advertising Design Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of design principles and graphic communication techniques. The Advertising Design Manager must have working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and general scanning techniques that are used in the generation of advertising for the Stoutonia.
Salary: $75/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The Chief Copy Editor is the expert on Stoutonia style, as determined by the Stoutonia Ed Board and The Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual. The Chief Copy Editor needs to be a leader and able to give logical explanations for the corrections they suggest.
Salary: $75/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The News/Feature Editor will focus their stories on campus news and applicable state and national news. His or her section must be timely with its stories to keep the campus informed.
Salary: $85/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The Entertainment Editor will focus their stories on campus entertainment, as well as movies, music, games and books outside of campus. He or she should guide entertainment writers to write focused and informed previews and reviews of events.
Salary: $75/week
Supervisor: Editor-in-Chief
The Sports Editor must cover UW-Stout intramural, club and varsity sports. He or she must be aware of the game schedules and proper sports terminology.
Salary: $75/week

The Opinions Editor must challenge his or her columnists to write well-informed, interesting columns that pertain to college life or current events.
